The Kholvad Board, which governs the work of the Madressa, has links with the Kholvad Boards of Canada, Mauritius, Re-Union, and Kholvad India.

The Board meets annually in February for election purposes and to report back to the community. It has a remarkable record of not having missed an Annual General meeting in over 50 years and the five/six General meetings per year have more then 80% attendance. It is not unusual for people to fly from across the country to attend these meetings or for international visitors to time their visits to coincide with the Annual General meetings.

Kholvad Board meetings and Annual General meetings set a clear example of the democratic process and transparency.
